The latest Andrew Wiggins for Kevin Love trade rumors can be officially put to rest, for now. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Wiggins are set to come to terms on a two-year contract that would essentially make the rookie phenom untouchable for atleast the next 30 days due to the NBA’s new collective bargaining agreement.

Tom Withers of the Associated Press stated,
“Andrew Wiggins will sign his rookie contract with the Cavaliers. It’s still not clear if he’ll play for them. A person familiar with the negotiations says the Cavs will sign the No. 1 overall pick to his deal, an agreement that would prevent any potential trade involving the small forward from being completed for 30 days.”
So once again, similar to the free agency fiasco surrounding LeBron James, we play the waiting game. However this time, we may have to wait a whole month until we hear any news.
