After walking off the court on the short end of the scoreboard for the first time this preseason, the Cleveland Cavaliers now have two more preseason clashes to figure out where their flaws are, and how to limit them from blocking their path to a dream season.
In truth, the absence of power forward Kevin Love, and the resting of veteran Shawn Marion played a small part in the team’s home defeat to the Dallas Mavericks, not to mention the preseason status of the game. In addition, LeBron James once again sat out a pivotal fourth quarter—something that won’t happen in the regular season
However, there were very slight cracks in what had been a smooth running ship, so it’s important to assess exactly what issues need to be overcome during the course of a lengthy 82-game campaign.
